The Broadband Revolution: Innovation and the Threat of Government Regulation

On 27 November, the European Council will vote on amendments to important telecommunications legislation. This study, produced by think-tanks from Austria, Germany, Spain and the UK, argues that the European Parliament’s version of those amendments would be counterproductive by hindering, rather than promoting, enhanced access to the Internet and associated services, content and applications. It would also undermine innovation in the provision of content, applications and services.
