“Generic” doesn’t necessarily mean cheaper

It’s wishful thinking that generic competition will send the price of biotech drugs plummeting.  The costs involved in creating genuine copies (including new clinical trials) means that the price reductions that we see with normal chemical generic medicines simply won’t emerge.
