Don't put the damper on trade

Protectionists and fearmongers want you to be afraid of the trade deficit but British companies and workers win when trade increases.  Britain is shifting away from low-value added manufacturing but that’s a good thing, because it is moving into high value added design and services.  Restricting trade and “doing something about the deficit” will only make us worse off.
