Practical ways to protect our oceans

A rather bleak ‘UN World Ocean Day’ this year, overshadowed by the BP oil spill. But some of the worst problems afflicting the oceans, such as overfishing, have practical solutions to them.  A great introduction over at Reason explains how economic incentives, in the form of quotas, can incentivise fishermen to conserve stocks, rather than catch as much fish possible in the shortest amount of time.
