Perpetuating Poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa: How African Political Elites Undermine Entrepreneurship and Economic Development

This study examines African countries' under-development and the role that political elites have played in stifling wealth creation. The paper argues that fundamental institutions such as reform of land tenure and the removal of internal and external barriers to trade are crucial to creating wealth and prosperity across Africa.
