Barun Mitra is Director of the Liberty Institute, New Delhi, India, a non-profit, non-partisan organisation which advocates market institutions as the way to achieve economic growth and eliminate poverty in India and elsewhere.
He is a writer and commentator on public policy with a special interest in development, the environment, trade and technology-related issues. He has been published in a wide range of national and international newspapers and magazines including The Economic Times, India, and The Wall Street Journal. He has also edited and contributed chapters to a variety of books on environmental and development issues.
