Bhutan

Bhutan has one of the lowest number of doctors per capita in the world, and generally poor healthcare provision. The geography of Bhutan is a mix of Himalayan mountains in the north and dense deciduous forest in the south with limited infrastructure outside the cities, making the provision of health care in rural areas problematic.

Bhutan does not levy tariffs on pharmaceuticals, with the exception of vaccines, on which there is a tariff of 10%.
